Plegt-Vos' previous situation

Plegt-Vos decided to outsource its IT environment and began the transition from a management organisation to a control organisation. Gerben Grootenhuis, ICT Application Manager at Plegt-Vos, explains: "We wanted to shift the focus from managing the hardware to creating real added value for Plegt-Vos: more process innovation, communication and optimisation.

Before Previder came into the picture, we outsourced the IT environment to another party. Unfortunately, that environment did not offer the possibilities to implement further innovations, and we were unable to take that extra step. We decided to look further for a more mature outsourcing partner and eventually ended up with Previder."

The IT solution for Plegt-Vos

The solution chosen was Werkplek Online. This portal, hosted from Previder's high-end data centre, provides online workstations in a uniform manner. It hosts many different business-critical applications, which created a complex situation. Grootenhuis: "We have many integrations and links with different systems and applications, such as the document management system, the ERP system, planning software and the CRM system. Without these applications, we cannot do our work, so it was absolutely essential that all applications were linked in a secure manner. We succeeded in doing this. We specified which applications needed to be integrated into Werkplek Online, and Previder worked with various suppliers to ensure that we now have a single, uniform working environment."
