Brand new eye clinic efficiently up and running with complete customised IT environment

In the Central Innovation District, the beating economic heart of The Hague, the brand new and modern Eye Clinic The Hague opened its doors on 1 July 2022. What started with the request for hosting and a server from Previder, culminated in a complete IT project that fully supports Oogkliniek Den Haag in carrying out its ophthalmic care activities efficiently.

Hosting assignment resulted in complete IT proposal

The search for a good Electronic Patient File led Eye Clinic The Hague to EPD Emma, from supplier Timeff. To run the EPD reliably and securely, the clinic then looked for a server including hosting. Since Timeff has enjoyed working with Previder for years, the supplier recommended talking to Previder. Previder's extensive experience in the healthcare market and IT projects proved valuable to Eye Clinic The Hague. According to account manager Eric Schut, that experience also reflected an overarching view. "We looked beyond just that server that was asked for. As a new clinic, what else do you need in terms of IT and how can you fulfil that? What obstacles can you expect? We were allowed to make an additional proposal. Oogkliniek Den Haag then visited another eye clinic that we facilitate. This gave them a good idea of what we have to offer. In the end, our proposal was accepted."

Short lines

Previder was able to help Oogkliniek Den Haag with everything IT related, from the internet connection to the digital working environment. Previder thus acts as a kind of one-stop-shop for everything IT-related for this client, Eric says. "The lines of communication are short. The same goes for the cooperation with the EPD supplier. This allows us to ensure good performance of the EPR together. We know how to find each other quickly and are thoroughly familiar with each other. So even if something occasionally goes wrong, we look for a solution together instead of pointing the finger at each other."

The digital healthcare workplace

An important part of the solution provided is Previder's digital healthcare workplace. With this flexible digital workplace, the employees of Eye Clinic The Hague can log into their work environment from any location at any time, including access to the EPD and integrated Microsoft Office 365 services. In addition, security is optimal, as the digital healthcare workplace meets all requirements and standards applicable in the sector. Previder is fully certified and complies with the strict Dutch standard for information security in healthcare (NEN7510).

Pragmatic thinking along

In the case of a start-up organisation like Oogkliniek Den Haag, Previder is aware that finances and investments need to be looked at extra carefully. Eric: "We try to think along with you as best we can. It's also very pragmatic: what do you really need to be able to start, with the possibility of further growth later on. In that respect too, we deliver tailor-made solutions. With the added advantage that Previder's services can easily be scaled up or down each month. This allows us to move with the clinic's needs in our services as well."

Good cooperation

Patrick Tettero, operational director of Oogkliniek Den Haag, is very pleased with the cooperation with Previder: "It's going very well. Short lines of communication, clear agreements and, above all, we like the way they think along with us. When setting up an ICT infrastructure and a linked EPD, it's easy to overlook things. Everything delivered on time

According to Eric Schut, the process from initial discussions to delivery went off without any serious bumps. "But the question of whether we could deliver all the hardware in time for the opening on 1 July was exciting. Especially since everything also had to be tested before that date. Given the current scarcity, we really had to undertake a search to get all the required items on time. To do so, we pulled out all the stops and we are quite proud that we succeeded."
