Veeam Cloud Connect is a service that allows backups to be replicated or moved to a remote cloud provider. Veeam Cloud Connect allows organisations to store their backups offsite in our data centres. This provides additional security and protection against data loss as the backup copies are in a different location from the primary data source. It also enables data recovery in case of a local failure or disaster.

The 3-2-1 rule is a well-known principle of modern backups. The rule means that you keep three copies of your data on two different storage media and one copy outside your premises. The different storage media are often the production server and a backup on tape or disk. If you want to make sure your valuable business data stays in the Netherlands, and would like to be able to fall back on Dutch-speaking support, storage in Previder data centres is an excellent choice. With Veeam Cloud Connect, you have the option of securely storing backups offsite in one of our data centres, allowing you to benefit from extra security and data protection, as well as recovery options in the event of local failures or disasters.

How does Veeam backup + Cloud Connect work?

In the Veeam backup software, you can add Previder as a Cloud Connect Service Provider. Through the internet connection, the local Veeam backup is duplicated daily to the Previder data centres. The backup is fully encrypted so that third parties cannot access the data. Backups of files or VMs can be easily restored via the Veeam client software. You only pay for the amount of storage space your backups take up. If you don't already rent Veeam licences, you also pay a fixed monthly fee per VM, physical server or workstation.
