Previder and Topicus have long had a good relationship as Partners. Previder proved to be a good partner, mainly due to their similar corporate cultures, high level of flexibility and available technical knowledge. As was usual at the time, in the early days Topicus first invested in necessary database and application servers itself and then housed them in the data centre as a private cloud environment.

With that construction, Topicus became active in several markets. For instance, public healthcare became an important strategic pillar of Topicus. One result there includes KD+, a digital youth file developed by Topicus Zorg that supports processes and stimulates mutual cooperation within youth healthcare. Around one and a half million healthcare client files are made available in KD+, which greatly simplifies information exchange within the healthcare chain.

KD+ also uses Previder's infrastructure: "We were used to buying hardware. With the increasing need for scalability and the maturing of virtualisation solutions, we started using our servers more and more as virtual machines," said the commercial manager of Topicus Zorg.

Collaboration Topicus and Previder

Topicus expects the collaboration with Previder to only become closer in the coming years: "As we buy less and less hardware ourselves, we will increasingly use cloud services. That requires a good partnership. That's why it's so good that we are organising courses together, for example. It improves our cooperation and strengthens the mutual knowledge of our organisations."
