NOK's choice for Previder

The organisation has a head office and eight branches, and NOK is now on the verge of an international roll-out of its successful formula. Klaas Leussink has a dual role at NOK as IT coordinator and marketing/communications advisor, and when he was appointed, he was tasked with modernising the IT environment. ‘At the time, we only had three branches, each with its own file server,’ says Leussink. ‘These were isolated islands, with all patient documentation stored in one location. It was a really makeshift environment. The facilities department took care of the IT.’

In addition to standard office and administrative software, NOK uses a patient file system developed in-house, which can be accessed as a web application. Leussink had already worked with Previder in his previous job and had a positive experience. ‘I saw what their online working environment is capable of,’ says Leussink. ‘During the initial discussions, we quickly got the feeling that these were good people. It was therefore a logical step to have them modernise and manage our IT.’

According to Leussink, the Dutch Obesity Clinic's new IT environment fully meets expectations. "The improved scalability and reliability of our IT environment is a major advantage. And the cost savings are certainly noticeable in the workplace. We all work with thin clients. They cost very little, hardly ever break down, and if they are stolen, there is no cause for alarm. Everyone now works with the same solution, anywhere in the world, and always with their own desktop environment."
