The solution for IJsseldal Wonen

In the old situation, IJsseldal Wonen's IT already largely ran in an external data centre. It also had a local server. All in all, the IT environment was quite outdated. The new solution IJsseldal Wonen chose is an environment based on Workplace Online, offered from Previder's data centres. Thanks to this solution, the corporation has insight into the monthly costs and no longer needs to invest in server hardware and software itself. Employees can work anytime and anywhere via a secure connection, with access to their own email, calendar, data and applications. An important point of attention were some specific “corporation applications” that sometimes cause problems during migrations. IJsseldal Wonen was provided with separate (virtual) servers for these specific applications. Employees can also access these applications from their Workspace Online environment.
