The Baalderborg Group had a fairly traditional setup with its own servers spread across two locations running various legacy ICT solutions. These were accessed by approximately 60 healthcare locations via different types of VPN and internet connections using Citrix. Keeping this complex ICT environment running required continuous attention in terms of management and support.
The Baalderborg Group therefore felt a growing need to outsource its operational ICT. This gave its own ICT staff much more time to focus on actually improving care processes.
